தளிர் தமிழ் கல்விக்கூடம் தமிழ் பள்ளியில், வாசிப்பு என்பது குழந்தையின் வளர்ச்சிக்கான மிக வலுவான கருவி என்று நாங்கள் நம்புகிறோம். வாசிப்பு மொழித் திறன்களை மேம்படுத்துவதோடு மட்டுமல்லாமல், கற்பனை வட்டத்தை விரிவுபடுத்தி, சிந்தனையை கூர்மைப்படுத்தி, தன்னம்பிக்கையையும் வளர்க்கிறது. வாசிக்கும் குழந்தை அதிக ஆர்வத்தையும், பரிவையும், உலகத்துடன் அர்த்தமுள்ள முறையில் இணையக்கூடிய திறனையும் வளர்த்துக்கொள்கிறது.

எங்கள் குழந்தைகளுக்கு, தமிழ் வாசிப்பிற்கு ஒரு சிறப்பு முக்கியத்துவம் உண்டு. ஒவ்வொரு கதை, கவிதை, பழமொழியும் நூற்றாண்டுகள் பழமையான ஞானத்தையும், பண்பாட்டையும், வாழ்க்கை மதிப்புகளையும் தன்னகத்தே கொண்டுள்ளது. தமிழ் வாசிப்பு மூலம், எங்கள் குழந்தைகள் தங்கள் மொழித் திறனை மட்டுமல்லாமல் தங்கள் அடையாளம், மரபு, பண்பாட்டோடும் இணைந்திருப்பார்கள். சங்க இலக்கியம் முதல் திருக்குறள், ஆத்திசூடி வரை, ஒவ்வொரு தமிழ் படைப்பும் காலமற்ற வாழ்க்கை பாடங்களை கற்றுத் தருகிறது.

At Thalir Thamizh Kalvikoodam, we believe that reading is one of the most powerful tools for a child’s growth. Reading not only improves language skills but also broadens imagination, sharpens thinking, and builds confidence. A child who reads develops curiosity, empathy, and the ability to connect with the world in meaningful ways.

For our children, Tamil reading holds an even deeper significance. Every story, poem, and proverb in Tamil carries centuries of wisdom, values, and cultural richness. By reading in Tamil, our children not only strengthen their language skills but also stay rooted in their identity, heritage, and traditions. Tamil literature—from the Thirukkural to modern children’s stories—teaches life lessons that are timeless and universal.

எங்கள் வாசிப்பு & நூலகக் குழு வெறும் 25 புத்தகங்களுடன்—சில எளிய கதைகள் மற்றும் கவிதைகள் மூலம் வாசிப்பின் மகிழ்ச்சியைத் தூண்டும் நோக்கத்துடன் தொடங்கியது. சிறிய முயற்சியாகத் தொடங்கியது, இன்று 135+ புத்தகங்களைக் கொண்ட வளமான நூலகமாக வளர்ந்துள்ளது. இது குழந்தைகளின் வயது மற்றும் திறனைப் பொறுத்து மூன்று நிலைகளாக வகைப்படுத்தப்பட்டுள்ளது.

தொடக்க நிலை (Beginner) – சிறுவர் படங்களுடன் கூடிய எளிய கதைகள், ஆரம்ப வாசிப்பை ஊக்குவிக்கும்.

இடைநிலை (Intermediate) – வளர்ந்து வரும் வாசிப்போருக்கான நெறிக் கதைகள், சிறுகதைகள்.

மேம்பட்ட நிலை (Advanced) – கட்டுரைகள், சிந்தனையைத் தூண்டும் படைப்புகள்.

வாசிப்பை ஒரு பழக்கமாக்க, நாங்கள் சிறப்பு கவனம் செலுத்தி வருகிறோம். அதற்காக மூன்று அர்ப்பணிப்புடன் செயல்படும் வாசிப்பு ஆசிரியர்கள் (தன்னார்வலர்கள்) தொடர்ந்து குழந்தைகளுக்கு வழிகாட்டி, ஊக்குவித்து, தமிழ் புத்தகங்களில் ஆர்வம் கொள்ளச் செய்கிறார்கள்.

Our Reading & Library Club began with a small collection of 25 books—simple stories and poems to spark the joy of reading. What started as a humble initiative has now grown into a vibrant library of 135+ books, carefully curated to cater to children of different ages and learning levels.

We currently offer books across three levels:

Beginner – Simple picture books and short stories to encourage early readers.

Intermediate – Slightly longer stories for growing readers.

Advanced –  Engaging tales, moral stories, and poems for older students.

To make reading a habit and not just an option, we have placed strong emphasis on guided reading practice—with the help of three dedicated volunteer reading teachers who inspire, mentor, and encourage children to fall in love with Tamil books.
